Mother Teresa has been quoted to say, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can all do small things with great love”.
Our own Oby Ezekwesili, Dr Oby, as she is fondly called, was in Mumbai, India, to receive the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice organized by Harmony Foundation in Bandra.
Mumbai Mirror describes her as a voice for the voiceless in Nigeria, saying that her agile gait, clarity of thought, strength and courage is a persona of one of the legendary poets Maya Angelou.
Leadership is about character, one that precedes above all else. It’s about caring for the people. All too often we are quite and look the other way when something happens to someone else simple because it doesn’t concern us.
Dr. Oby, has exemplified, in her own little way, and with this recognition, haven come at a time that speaks for itself, that for one to truly lead, it begins with a heart that cares.
Our world misses Mother Teresa but our best way of preserving her legacy is to be a CARING WORLD.
