In a nation blighted by political bigotry and hypocrisy, there is a mission to disrupt the status quo and bring back ethical political leadership in a nation that is so in need of it.

During her trip to Washington DC, Oby Ezekwesili met with Jeffrey Smith, the Executive Director, Vanguard Africa – an organization which has been at the forefront of global coalition to support good governance and free and fair elections in Africa.

Following her visit to John Hopkins University, Ezekwesili tweeted saying: “Two generations of Nigerians are desperate for a nation that truly works. I came with a message of HOPE.”

Her engagement at Johns Hopkins University was followed by a visit to Harvard Kennedy School where the #AfricaCaucus hosted her to an engaging conversation on youth, politics, governance and the #Hope2019 mission.

Young people must actively engage in building a better society so as to bequeath something of value to the next generation.
